Vanderbilt Essential Oils
Did you know that the Vanderbilt Hospital in Tennessee uses essential oils to boost productivity, improve mood and to eliminate that bad hospital odor?
Well they do! As a matter of fact, due to the stressful nature and unusual hospital smell, the ER’s wellness center carried out an experiment using doTerra essential oils, obtaining fantastic results. Check it out below.
Experiment Basis
#1 The ER staff placed several diffusers throughout the department.
#2 They specifically chose essential oils known for their ability to decrease stress and improve energy.
#3 Oils used in the diffusers: wild orange, lime, citrus bliss and lemon doTERRA essential oils.
Results of aromatherapy to boost productivity
Before and after surveying 100 ER staffers
#1 Before the hospital started using the oils, 41% of the staff members said they were stressed out when at work. After using them, only 3 % expressed feeling stressed.
#2 Before the oils were used, 60% of the staff said they were frustrated. That number went down to only 6% after implementing aromatherapy.
#3 84 % of the staff agree that using the oils help to create a more positive work environment.
#4 As an added bonus, the oils greatly improved the smell of the ER as well.
