Suffering from awful headaches? Don’t know what to do with your migraine anymore? Tired of taking pills?
We have the answer you’ve been looking for. Did you know that peppermint oil can relieve your headache? In fact, peppermint oil has a number of benefits –thanks to the organic compound known as menthol –which include treating pain associated with all types of headaches. Peppermint oil can also relax sore muscles all through your body.
Below we’ll tell you a couple of ways you can best use peppermint oil to relieve a headache. Before using it, make sure you are not allergic.
#1 Inhale peppermint oil
To use peppermint oil for headaches, you can inhale from the bottle or diffuse in your diffuser.
#2 Apply on your skin
To relieve the pressure that causes sinus headaches, dilute peppermint oil with your favorite carrier oil (grape seed, jojoba or almond oils are some of the more popular) and apply topically, always careful to stay away from your eyes and other sensitive areas.
Blend for headache: in a 10 ml roller bottle, add the following:
10 drops peppermint oil
7 drops lavender oil
5 drops lemongrass oil
top off with FCO
Apply on your temples, at the back of your head, over sinus cavities, and/or the bottom of your feet. Peppermint is a hot oil and will hurt and cause damage if applied is certain areas.
