You know very well that you shouldn’t skip breakfast, it just makes you feel bad because of the hunger, plus you’re far more irritable. However, the importance of breakfast goes far beyond its effects on your mood, it directly affects the way your metabolism works. If you want to keep your health in check, then having a balanced first meal of the day regularly is paramount. This claim goes beyond speculation, as there have been various studies on this subject and all say pretty much the same – if you want to live long and well, eating breakfast is a must and here’s why.

Breakfast is important for body and heart

Getting a Move On Is Much Easier

There’s nothing like a boost of energy in the morning to set you up for a successful day. Having a hearty breakfast gives you the energy you require to start off your day the best way possible. When you get up, your body has been in the state of fasting for around eight hours, so you can bet that it needs replenishing stat. You should always find time for breakfast because during the day, you will be far more productive in everything you do. If you’re cranky in the morning and you generally lack the will to live, breakfast is the best way to snap you out of your moping mood. Exercise will help too, but supplying your metabolism with the energy it sorely needs should be your first priority as you wake up.

You’re In Control

One of the biggest benefits of eating breakfast is that it allows you to have better balance throughout the day when it comes to your eating habits. Any nutritionist worth their salt will tell you that when you start your day with a wholesome breakfast, your hunger and cravings will be under control. This is a simple principle, when you set a good foundation, you can build healthy eating habits much more easily, which is essential when you’re trying to lose weight.

Cravings are the ones that push us off the wagon, but providing your body with the energy it needs from an early morning pushes those cravings aside, allowing you to make the right dietary choices. When the lunchtime does come, your will be strong enough to go for a healthy meal because your body isn’t crazy with hunger demanding to eat something, anything. This is the time when you should opt out for the healthier path, which means having a salad or even ordering takeout, as long as you go for delivery services that provide you with good-for-you meals, like Blue Apron meal delivery or any other you’ve got on your speed dial.

Help Risks Drop

Let’s face it, it’s very difficult for us to think about serious health problems when we’re in our twenties and thirties and everything still works right. However, what we do in these years will weigh heavily upon our existence later in our lives if we don’t pay attention. Many people don’t believe that breakfast can have such an important role in having optimal health, but our bodies are complex and one bad habit can reflect in various health issues. That is why breakfast has a role in lowering the risks of different heart conditions, as well as stroke and diabetes. Still not persuaded? Well, there are also facts that show that eating right from the very start of your day keeps you away from the dangers of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and becoming overweight is much more difficult.

Bottom line here is simple, don’t skip your breakfast. Your body will be grateful to you and you will definitely feel energized and comfortable in your skin. – Theresa Brawner
