Apply This Banana Mask To Repair Damaged Hair And Make It Thick

Of all hair related issued, the one most common to women is managing dull, frizzy, wavy hair. You feel after shampooing the texture of your hair will improve, that your hair will feel smooth and bouncy, but no such luck. Your hair only ends up looking more oily and without any volume. To treat dull, lifeless hair, you don’t need to invest in expensive shampoos, conditioners or go for fancy hair rituals. Simply raid your kitchen for some everyday ingredients and make this hair mask at home. This is one of the simplest and most effective home remedy to cure brittle, damaged hair and give it a smooth finish and a dense texture. You will get results in less than a month.

Ingredients:

Half a banana

1 Egg

2 tsp Coconut oil

2 tsp Olive oil

1 tsp Honey

Damaged hair

Method of Preparation:

Mash up the banana into a fine paste. Then add to it the egg, coconut oil, olive oil and honey. Blend it into a mixture of homogeneous consistency. Your hair mask is ready for use. Now gradually apply it on your hair covering every strand. Wear a shower cap after applying the mask, and leave it on for about 4 hours. You can even do it before going to bed and rinse off your hair first thing in the morning. Wash your hair with a gentle shampoo and apply a conditioner.

Your hair will become manageable, soft and smooth. The results will come in the first wash, but if you want its effects to last longer, practice this ritual about twice a week for 4 weeks and see the natural change in the texture of your hair. If you have curls they will look more defined, smooth and healthy.

Why Honey

Honey is a natural moisturiser. It is honey mainly that helps restore the lustre of your hair owing to its richness in antioxidants and nutrients that strengthen the hair follicles and promote hair growth.

Why Olive Oil

Olive oil is a natural conditioner that makes your hair stronger, softer and voluminous. Olive oil contains certain acids such as palmitic acid, oleic acid and squalene that impart a softening quality to your hair. Little wonder, many shampoos and conditioners use olive oil as a primary ingredient.

Why Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is rich is vitamins and essential fatty acids that nourish the scalp and protect the hair follicles. It is the most common form of hair oil in all of Southeast Asia. It prevents premature ageing of hair, keeps your scalp moisturised.

Why Egg

The protein in egg serves as a natural moisturiser and conditioner for the hair. It boosts the texture of your hair and makes it soft and shiny. Since the egg easily seeps into the scalp and hair follicles it is extremely beneficial for people with dry, damaged hair. Also egg has Vitamin A which stimulates natural oil production, while Vitamin E in it protects your hair from pollution and ultra violet rays.

Why Banana

A source of natural oils, aside from potassium, carbohydrates and vitamins, banana is responsible for making your hair soft, shiny and manageable. It even cures your dandruff problem and removes the tangles.
