When we pick up skin whitening scrubs or masks from the market, we usually end up doing our skin more harm than good. Packed with chemicals they are more often than not extremely harsh on the skin and also end up damaging or peeling off the top layer of the skin. Have you ever noticed fresh breakouts on your skin soon after using a scrub?

The best way to get a fair, glowing skin is by making yourself a natural homemade scrub. It will clear your skin and reduce the acne scars, dark spots and skin pigmentation in just few weeks, outside of removing the dead skin cells that settle on the surface of the skin.

You need just two ingredients for this; rice powder and milk. Rice in all its form, from rice water to rice powder, Asian women over the years have sworn by this traditional ingredient to get beautiful skin and hair. Rice powder has natural exfoliating properties that helps brighten the skin tone, while milk in the recipe reduces skin pigmentation, moisturises it and lightens the skin tone.

Ingredients:

1 cup uncooked rice

1/2 cup milk

Method of Preparation:

First grind the uncooked rice into a fine powder. Place it in a bowl. Now tip in the milk gradually into the rice powder and keep blending. You will get a thick paste of even consistency. Your skin whitening scrub is ready to use.

Prep your face by cleaning it with a cotton pad soaked in rose water. Now, apply this scrub on your face and neck gently in a circular motion. Massage for a couple of minutes, and allow it to dry for about 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and apply a moisturiser. Repeat this ritual thrice a week for at least two weeks for better results. In just a week you will notice the difference in your complexion. Your skin will feel smooth and soft naturally.

Throw away those expensive cosmetics! Just two ingredients and you have the most natural and effective skin whitening remedy for a fairer and brighter complexion.
