Your friendly salon beautician advises you monthly facial once you hit 30 to keep away wrinkles, fine lines, and most importantly to prevent sagging skin on your face. When you look closely in the mirror under hard light you can actually spot signs of skin ageing very easily. It is but a natural progression.
But instead of taking your beautician’s advise of falling into a monthly facial cycle at the parlour and blowing up money, how about some easy natural remedies to stop skin ageing that can be done from the comfort of your home? The results are certainly better and the procedure cost effective.
We suggest some very easy ways to prevent sagging skin on your face before time, and retaining a healthy, soft glow.
1. Rose water, lemon and almond oil pack
Take two tablespoon rose water, and blend it with a teaspoon lemon juice and a couple of drops of almond oil. Apply this mix on your face generously. Allow it to dry for 20 minutes and rinse off with cool water. Repeat this ritual thrice a week for about two weeks for better results.
2. Multani Mitti face pack
Multani Mitti or Fuller’s Earth has great skincare benefits. It helps tighten the skin and adds a glow to it. Take a tablespoon Multani Mitti and blend it with water to make a thick paste. Apply it on your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Repeat the ritual thrice a week.
3. Honey and aloe vera pack
Take one tablespoon aloe vera gel and mix a teaspoon of honey with it. Blend it thoroughly and apply it on your face. Allow it to seep into the skin for about 15 minutes and rinse off. You can apply this face pack everyday for better results.
4. Olive oil therapy
Warm a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Massage your face and neck thoroughly with it before going to bed. Massage for about 10 minutes till the oil has been absorbed by the skin. In the morning, rinse off your face with a gentle face wash. You will see the instant change in your complexion. Do this twice a week for one month.
5. Strawberry, honey and yoghurt pack
For this you will need three fresh strawberries. Squish them into pulp, then add two teaspoon honey and two teaspoon yoghurt into the mix. Combine till it forms a homogeneous mixture. Apply it on your face and neck and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. You can do this twice a week for better results.
6. Cucumber face pack
Make juice of a whole cucumber. Let it remain pulpy, now apply it in a thick coat all over your face. Allow it to fully dry for about 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. You can do this daily to prevent wrinkles on your skin.
7. Turmeric, cinnamon, olive oil and sugar scrub
To make this pack you need a teaspoon cinnamon powder and a teaspoon turmeric powder. Add to it a tablespoon olive oil and blend it thoroughly. Further on add a teaspoon sugar and whisk it once. This is a natural exfoliation pack. Scrub your skin with this paste and then leave it on your skin for about 10 minutes. The dead skin cells will drop off and the skin will regain its elasticity. Rinse off with cool water. Repeat the ritual twice a week for about two weeks and you will be surprised with the results.
