While we love to do up our eyes, add some blush to the cheeks and plump up the lips, we neglect in all this the eyebrows the most. A thick, broad, shapely eyebrows add sharpness and depth to your face. So much so that with just perfectly done, broad eyebrows you can go rather minimalist with your makeup. Even the beauty of your eyes are naturally enhanced just with a touch of kohl when you have black, thick eyebrows.
Now as important as eyebrows are, a lot of women suffer thin eyebrows, or even worse scant eyebrows. You feel that your eyebrows are so light that they are not even visible from a distance, and make your face look broader and bulkier. Don’t bother to darken your eyebrows artificially with eyebrow pencils and kajal, you can easily grow thick, dark eyebrow hair at home with some basic kitchen ingredients.
These remedies work like magic and you will see the difference in just one night.
1. Onion juice for thick black eyebrows
Dip a cotton pad in a tablespoon coconut milk or into the juice of raw onion, and dab it generously over your eyebrows. You need to leave it on overnight and rinse off in the morning with a gentle face wash. You can repeat this treatment everyday for a week and see the difference in your eyebrow hair growth.
2. Aloe vera and Vitamin E oil mix
Take a teaspoon aloe vera gel and add to it a teaspoon Vitamin E oil and blend it together. Now with your fingertips gently apply it over your eyebrows. It will moisturise your eyebrows and boost the hair follicles.

3. Castor or coconut oil massage
You can even substitute it with olive oil. Take a small quantity of castor oil or coconut oil in your palm and gradually massage your eyebrows with it right before going to bed. Leave it on overnight and rinse off in the morning with lukewarm water. The oils help boost hair growth and strengthen the hair follicles.
4. Egg yolk for broad, thick eyebrows
Egg yolk can boost the volume of eyebrow hair in no time. Take an egg, separate the egg yolk and beat it into a fluffy consistency. Now using a cotton pad apply the yolk generously over your eyebrows. Try to leave it on overnight and rinse off first thing in the morning. In just a week you will notice the difference in the density of hair.
5. Fenugreek or methi seed paste
Just take a few fenugreek or methi seeds and blitz into a fine paste. Apply this paste on your eyebrows before going to bed. But if you have very dry skin you can blend in a few drops of almond oil. It will help moisturise your eyebrows and promote hair growth. Wash off the paste in the morning with a face wash.
6. Toothbrush exfoliation method
There is no better remedy to get thick eyebrows than exfoliate them to clear the dead skin cells and push hair growth. Take a dry, soft toothbrush and everyday scrub your eyebrows with it for a couple of minutes. The layer of dead skin will get removed due to this and make way for new hair. Always follow up by moisturising your eyebrows with coconut or olive oil, to keep the skin smooth and soft.
