Lice, a perennial problem among school boys and girls, girls in particular. These tiny, blood sucking, wingless bugs multiply at a shocking propensity, usually through contact with another person facing the problem. Lice thrive on human hair by sucking blood from the scalp, and grow at a rapid pace if the scalp is a well nourished one.
Just a single bug in your hair from a stray source, and in a matter of days you would be harbouring a full brood with their strength swelling probably by the hour. Having lice is a scary situation especially for parents of kids who have had this problem for a while, and no matter how many medical shampoos on the market they try, they just never go away. The scalp looks clean at the outset, but in a few days again those eggs hatch and there is a new crop of parasites. Having lice for a prolonged period can ruin the texture of your hair, lead to hair loss and even cause irritation and infection.
Stop spending hours combing your kids hair with that lice comb, and using ineffective chemical treatments to kill them. Try this easy hack, and there won’t be any lice no more.
Ingredients:
Listerine mouthwash (any brand of your preference)
White vinegar
Lice comb
How to use it:
First wash your hair with the mouthwash and make sure the hair has completely soaked the liquid.
Now cover your hair with a bathing cap. Leave it on for at least an hour. Gently remove the shower cap from your hair.

Further on, wash your hair again, this time with the white vinegar, and cover your hair again with a shower cap.
Allow it to seep into the roots of your hair for an additional hour. Remove the shower cap and rinse off with a gentle shampoo.

Comb your wet hair now
The lice will fall off on the comb when you brush them out. Vinegar helps remove the eggs, which are otherwise difficult to get rid off, from the hair. And in a couple of hours you hair will be free of these blood-sucking bugs.
It is predominantly the minty smell of the mouthwash which repels lice and make them keep away. Another way to fend them off would be to pour some of the mouthwash in a spray bottle and use it on your hair every time you step outside.
Advantages of this homemade treatment over commercial medical products:
