9 DIY Peel Off Face Masks That’ll Clean Pores, Remove Blackheads

Resort to natural remedies, those you can put together with natural ingredients from your kitchen, and you will see how your skin will respond to the therapy. It is miraculous, the goodness of DIY peel off face masks made at home. Of course it is cost-effective, but the moot point is it is healthy, natural and does wonders for your skin.

Today we share with you some totally cool DIY peel off face masks you can whip up in your kitchen with some basic ingredients. The recipes are very easy, will take only few minutes, but it will have a lasting effect on your skin.

1. Milk and honey DIY deep cleansing face mask

Ingredients:

1/2 tbsp Milk
1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
1 tbsp Honey

Method of Preparation:

Whisk together milk, honey and lemon juice in a small bowl. Pour it out in a shallow pan and stir it over medium heat till its consistency thickens a little. Allow the mix to cool down, but it needs to be warm enough when you apply it to your face. Using a makeup brush, apply it on your face generously, particularly over the areas that have acne spots and blemishes. Allow it to seep into the skin for about 15 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly. Do this twice a week for at least three weeks and your skin will become bright and spot-free.

Why Honey: Honey is a natural nourishing agent which retains the moisture of your skin and makes it soft.

Why Milk: Milk is a natural moisturiser that nourishes the skin and softens it.

Why Lemon Juice: Rich in Vitamin C, lemon juice is a natural cleanser and even lightens the skin tone.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar DIY blackhead face mask

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Clay powder
1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

Method of Preparation:

In a bowl, thoroughly blend the clay powder with apple cider vinegar into a paste of even consistency. With a makeup brush apply the mask on your face, more generously over your nose where the blackheads are concentrated. Allow it to dry for about 10 minutes or till the mask begins to crack. Gently wash off the pack with cool water. Repeat this ritual twice a week to remove blackheads and other impurities from your skin.

Why Clay Powder: Clay powder is a natural skin cleanser that helps eliminate dirt, grime, blackheads from the skin. Also it works to shrink large pores and makes the skin clear and soft.

Why Apple Cider Vinegar: Loaded with Alpha Hydroxyl acids, a component that cleanses your skin and removes stain and dirt, apple cider vinegar is very popularly used in a lot of cosmetics.

3. Lemon and egg DIY blackhead peel off face mask

Ingredients:

1 Egg White
1 tbsp Lemon juice

Method of Preparation:

Among various DIY peel off face masks, this one is very effective. In a bowl blend together the egg white and juice from a freshly squeezed lemon. With a makeup brush apply the mix on your nose particularly over the areas where the blackheads are dense. Immediately press a tissue paper over the mask. Now apply a second coat of the mixture on the tissue. Allow it to dry up for about 10-12 minutes. Then gently peel off the tissue paper. All the blackheads will get stuck to the inside of the tissue paper. Rinse off with cool water.

4. Milk and gelatin DIY blackhead peel off face mask

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Milk
1 tbsp Gelatin powder

Method of Preparations:

DIY peel off face masks are the best to keep your skin soft and glowing. Stir milk and gelatin powder in a shallow pan over medium flame. Keep stirring till the gelatin dissolves fully and there are no lumps. Remove from heat and allow the heat to go out a little. It shouldn’t come to room temperature, though. You can check the heat by testing the mix on your hand first. When you think the temperature is right, take a makeup brush and apply the mixture on your nose, thickly over the areas that have blackheads. Allow it to dry for about 10 minutes. Gradually peel off the mask. The blackheads will come off with it, and your nose will be shiny and smooth. Rinse your face. You can do this twice a week if your blackhead problem is severe. There are several DIY peel off face masks which uses gelatin, and each of them are quite effective.

Why Gelatin: Gelatin permeates the pores and helps pull out the blackheads and dead skin cells.

5. Toothpaste and salt DIY blackhead face mask

Ingredients:

1 tbsp toothpaste
1 tsp Salt
1 Ice cube

Method of Preparation:

Take toothpaste, preferably an organic one, and salt in a bowl and whisk it well. Add a dash of water as you whisk to get a smooth paste. Now with a damp tissue wet your face. Apply the mask on your face, and particularly over the affected areas such as your nose. Allow it to dry for about 10 minutes. Wet your fingers and gently massage the mask off in circular motion. Rinse off with warm water. Rub the ice cube on the surface of your skin to close the pores. Repeat this twice a week for at least two weeks and your blackheads will be history.

Why Salt: The abrasive quality of salt makes it a natural scrub that helps uproot blackheads and peel off dead skin cells.

Why toothpaste: Toothpaste is made up of witch hazel, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, which makes it a natural agent to dry out pimples and bacteria-filled pores.

6. Oatmeal and yoghurt DIY blackhead peel off face mask

Ingredients:

3 tbsp Oatmeal
2 tbsp Yoghurt
1 tbsp Lemon juice

DIY peel off face masks such as this one are very effective in keeping the skin clear. First grind the oatmeal into a fine powder-like consistency. Pour it out in a bowl, then tip in fresh yoghurt and lemon juice. Blend them into a homogeneous mixture. Apply the mask on your face in a thick coat and go one more time over the affected areas. Leave it on for about 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water first and again with cool water. You can use this remedy twice a week for about three weeks to wholly get rid of blackheads.

Why Oatmeal: Oatmeal is an anti-bacterial agent that fights microbes and germs in the skin. It soaks up excess oil and frees up the pores.

Why yoghurt: The lactic acid in yoghurt removes dead skin cells and makes pores shrink. It has anti-ageing properties that even out skin tone and fights signs of ageing.

7. Baking soda and milk DIY pore cleansing face mask

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Baking soda
1/4 cup milk

Method of Preparation:

Take a small bowl and tip in the baking soda and milk. Stir till it forms a thick paste of even consistency. Now wet your face with a warm tissue and apply the mask over it. Generously apply another coat on the blackhead zone. Allow it to stay for about 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Repeat this ritual twice a week for a couple of weeks and your skin will look clean and spotless.

Why Baking Soda: Baking soda is a natural exfoliator that removes dead skin cells, and clears clogged pores.

8. Honey and pineapple DIY nourishing peel off face mask

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Gelatin powder
1/4 cup Pineapple juice

In a bowl blend the honey and pineapple juice and heat them in a shallow pan over low flame. Get it off the heat and tip in the gelatin powder. Keep stirring till the gelatin dissolves and you have an even consistency. Allow the mixture to cool a little, but it needs to be warm enough when you apply it on your face. Using a makeup brush apply it on your face particularly over the affected areas. Allow it to dry for about 10 minutes. Once the mask starts to stretch your skin, peel it off gently. Rinse off with cool water. Do this twice a week for at least three weeks and all the dark spots and acne scars will disappear from your face. You won’t have any blackheads too. Among various DIY peel off face masks are the most cost effective way to take care of your skin.

9. Orange DIY cleansing peel off face mask

Ingredients:

4 tbsp Orange juice
4 tbsp Gelatin powder

Method of Preparation:

Take the orange juice and gelatin powder in a bowl and mix it. Heat the mix in a shallow pan over medium heat for a few minutes. Keep stirring till the gelatin dissolves and there are no resultant lumps. With a makeup brush apply it on your face. You can put another coat over the affected areas. Allow it to dry for about 15 minutes. Peel off the mask gently and rinse your face with cool water. This remedy can be tried about thrice a week for two weeks to completely get rid of dark spots, acne and pimple scars from your face including the pesky blackheads.
