The damning bloated belly refuses to go away despite working out so hard. The answer to this doesn’t necessarily lie in exercising. It is some plain and simple dietary habits that can help you get rid of all the lard around your waist. Quite miraculous actually! You can lose belly fat without exercise.

Experts believe that you can eat anything you like as long as you pay more heed to the timing. You need to be just a little conscious about the proportion, try eat smaller but frequent meals. Just as proteins are better absorbed by the body in the day, ideally in the first half when your energy levels are soaring and your body counts on them to gain muscle mass, not fat, which in turn gives a boost to your metabolism, and this is enough reason to lose belly fat without exercise.

Here are 7 foods that will help you lose belly fat without exercise

1. Boil coriander or Jeera and drink that water next morning on empty stomach

This is your first step to curbing the belly bloat you manage to get at the end of the day. Take about half teaspoon of coriander seeds or the white jeera and boil it in water. Let it stand overnight. Strain the water into a tall glass. Glug it down first thing in the morning.

2. Eat as many slices possible of watermelon in the first half of the day

This summer fruit curbs cravings. Watermelons are rich in fibre, minerals and vitamins, and act as a natural diuretic which makes it a perfect snack or addition to salads. Experts suggest it is better to have it in the first half, as the fibres in watermelon are not easily absorbed by the body as morning turns to night.

4. Don’t throw away the leftover water from your yoghurt bowl. Drink it up instead.

We don’t much care about the residual water that yogurt leaves, especially when you set yogurt at home. There is ample of this yoghurt water left in the bowl. Next time, do not throw away this water, instead drain it to the last drop. Yoghurt water is actually a natural whey, which is any day better than the ready made whey protein available in the market.

5. Sip green tea or black coffee without any sugar, and see the difference

Green tea is a great pre-workout beverage that cuts bloatedness. You can have two to three cups of tea without sugar or milk a day for losing belly fat. Coffee can also be good if you are not a tea person. Make sure to keep it black and as less sweet as possible. Green tea is a powerful source of antioxidants and activates fat loss. Have it before your workout to boost fat burning and enhance metabolism.

6. Eggs are actually great for weight loss. Don’t believe us?

Don’t let the calories in the egg yolk bother you too much. Even if it is boiled or fried, egg is a nourishing A-grade protein, any day better than chicken. How about a breakfast of scrambled eggs and a touch of carbs in the form of a toast? Your body needs the carbs and proteins together to accelerate fat burning from your tummy.

7. Eat Quinoa salad, and weight loss is guaranteed

The protein content in quinoa is quite high for a plant-based food, as usually they are found wanting in certain essential amino acids. Quinoa fulfills the fibre and protein requirement of the body, also by offering a perfect substitute to those with gluten intolerance. To make a quinoa salad, rinse it thoroughly before boiling it in medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add to it finely chopped tomatoes, cucumber, spring onions and squeeze some lemon over it.
