You are conscious of your smile because it reveals the yellow stains in your teeth. Of course you brush twice a day, refrain from frizzy drinks, but the stains still don’t go away.

Nothing more embarrassing than to flash a set of pale yellow dentures that reflect poor dental hygiene. There are quite a few causes for this yellowness to set in on your dentures. The most prominent ones being poor oral hygiene, smoking, frizzy drinks, medication, and genetics to name a few. But despite these inherent causes, you don’t have to get frantic about not being able to have pearly whites.

The answer doesn’t lie in fancy toothpastes and gels that promise to give you perfect teeth and gums, but in this easy DIY homemade tooth scrub which will make yellow stains history in a matter of minutes.

This two-ingredient recipe is 100% natural, not to mention cost effective, and a much faster and healthier way to get sparkling white teeth.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Baking Soda

2 tsp Lemon juice

Method of Preparation:

Take the baking soda in a bowl, now tip in the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon. Owing to baking soda’s alkali effect, the mixture will froth up. Keep stirring the mix with a spoon until it begins to gradually thicken. The mix will be light and grainy, yet thick. This consistency you can attain only by constantly stirring for a few minutes.

Baking soda has antibacterial properties which help fight germs and bacteria in the teeth and gums, and the acidity of lemon makes it a good cleansing agent.

Now, using your ring finger or a piece of clean cotton swab, apply this mixture on your teeth and scrub it thoroughly for a few minutes. Leave it on for about 5 minutes. Rinse your mouth with cool water. Repeat this ritual thrice a week for at least two weeks to completely get rid of the discolouration or yellow stains.
